LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TACKLE THE TAX PROBLEM AT THE BROWARD PREMIER OF AARON RUSSO’S LATEST CRITICALLY-ACCLAIMED FILM
Posted by Valerie on Friday 06 April 2007 - 11:14:36 | Read/Post Comment: 21 | email to someone printer friendly

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Are you required to pay taxes?

Before 1913, federal income taxes were rare and short-lived. For example, the first United States income tax was imposed in July 1861 and rescinded in 1872. Now, most Americans reluctantly accept the income tax on their wages, not really knowing whether the imposition of that tax is even Constitutional!

Award-winning producer Aaron Russo’s political blockbuster, “America: Freedom to Fascism” is the explosive story of one man’s quest to find the law that requires American citizens to pay income tax. The film premiers in Broward County April 23, 2007 at 6:30pm in the auditorium of The North Regional Library at Broward Community College (North Campus).

Hosted by the Libertarian Party of Broward County, this film which is neither left or right-wing is a startling examination of our government. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents, tax attorneys and authors, Russo (“The Rose” & “Trading Places”) connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax and the national identity card which will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips used to track objects.

It is a disturbing film now waking a nation of sleeping patriots aiming to reclaim their country.

The film begins at 6:30 pm. Tickets are not required. A Q&A session will follow and refreshments will be available. Because seating is limited, please RSVP to Valerie Booth (866) 682-9225 or email info@lpbroward.org.

The Ad-Ink Monthly Price Quote
Posted by Valerie on Thursday 07 September 2006 - 09:25:44 | Read/Post Comment: 21 | email to someone printer friendly
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) September 7, 2006 -- Entrepreneurs and marketing staff interested in promoting their business now have a strong incentive to subscribe to the Ad-Ink Promotional Products Newsletter.

Used as incentives, rewards and giveaways, custom printed promotional products increase employee satisfaction, build loyalty, help businesses say "thank you" and increase their bottomline. But not many working people have time to flip through catalogs or understand the confusing pricing structure most ad specialties carry.

Ad-Ink makes promoting your business easier. With one very competitive price displayed online, subscribers receive an additional discount unavailable to other website visitors - disclosed only in the email sent to subscribers. Even more attractive is the shortness of the email. Product name, description and discount are listed in 3 lines or less followed by a link to a full-color image of the ad speciatly item described.

"Having been barraged with incredibly long and purely self-serving emails from a multitude of websites, I set out to create a win-win situation for my subscribers and my business. It's really a back-to-basics approach geared toward people who want to put promotional products to work in their business. And the "Offer," as Mark Joyner might say, is very clear:

'Give us your email address and we'll you give you private and exclusive pricing on the products you want to promote your business.'"

Long Time Broward County Volunteer Launches Campaign for Tamarac City Commission Seat
Posted by Valerie on Monday 12 December 2005 - 20:58:39 | Read/Post Comment: 9 | email to someone printer friendly

Tamarac, FL (PRWEB) December 12, 2005 -- Philanthropist and community volunteer Patti Lynn launched her campaign for a seat on the Tamarac City Commission last week at the Steak-n-Ale on Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac, FL. State Representative Ari Porth was in attendance along with Lauderdale-by-the-Sea City Commissioner John Yanni and former Oakland Park Mayor Caryl Stevens. Patti Lynn is endorsed by State Senator Nan Rich as well as State Representatives Ron Greenstein, Tim Ryan and Ari Porth.

Patti's record of service spans more than 30 years. In 1988, she was named a "Hidden Hero" by the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches for both her service and contributions to the non-profit, residential child-care and family service organization. As a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service, Patti was instrumental in answering children's letters to Santa and delivering toys for needy children. The National Association of Letter Carriers recognized her efforts and in 1987 awarded her the Humanitarian of the Year Award.

Always involved with city and county government, Patti served on the Oakland Park Board of Adjustment and the Police and Fire Pension Board. She is a Member and past President of The Broward County Commission on the Status of Women and, in addition to other memberships, currently serves on the Tamarac Police Pension Board.

When asked why she chose to run for the city commission seat, the Miami Dolphins fan said, "Being a volunteer for so many years has made me very much aware of how our city and county governments function. And it has made me a terrific liason between different agencies throughout Broward County. As a Tamarac City Commissioner, I can bring my service and knowledge directly to the people to create an open government with accessible elected officials, to make our neighborhoods safer and to plan well for future growth."

This Press Release was approved by Patti Lynn, Candidate for Tamarac Commission District 2.

We have made preparations for the latest weather threat - Hurricane Frances! After watching what Charley did to Punta Gorda, FL, I think I'll sit this one out and leave!

Depending on the track of storm, our office may be closed Thursday and Friday.

All the best!

Balamara Gets a Facelift

Welcome to the new website!

After weeks of design and cogitation, here it is - the New and Improved Balamara Site. What a ride it has been. Finding and Installing the right Content Management System was more challenging than I thought. And I have more work ahead of me. So, without further adieu...

Where are the Promotional Products?

We are about a week out. In other words, I'll begin uploading the promotional products in about a week. We selected ZenCart for our shopping cart and what a fine program it is. Unfortunately, in one of my installs of EZPublish (a different program), our ZenCart database was wiped out (yes, EZPublish did that and after two days of trying to get a clean install, I decided that EZPublish was not EZ). You can read my post in their Forum HERE.

Will Balamara still develop Websites?
I have taken on two Projects that will keep me busy through the end of the year. One of those Projects is the result of changes here at Balamara. We are moving in the direction of Community Websites and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about your organization's Community Website requirements.

What about my Press Release/Ad Copy/Ad Design?

That hasn't changed. Just call me. Until Balamara.com is redeveloped, there is no way for you to fill out a form. Anyway, I'd rather talk to you!

Thank you for your patience!

Here we go again today - the Tasklist. We'll see how much I can actually accomplish before picking up Hannah.

1. Louisianna Rattan page must be uploaded. All of their marketing materials contain their URL and the distribution begins today.

2. Pour over the e107 websites looking for a way to include long affiliate URLS in LINKS. So far, the links get mangled and cut off.

3. Upload PoliticallyProgressive.com site. OOF

Just in time to get the phone call frm my husband who thinks he wants to wander further into the BellSouth snair and get DirectTV, DSL, Long Distance, Local Phone Service and Wireless frmo the BellSouth Behemoth. I don't think so!

2:45pm comes very fast. EEK!
